Kevin VanDam: Winner of Bassmaster Classic 2010 of Day One
by surjeet kaur    2010-02-22

The Bassmaster Classic (no, it’s not a music instrument), is an upcoming Olympics event in which the competitors compete by indulging in bass fishing (which by the way is fishing for a game fish of North American origin called black bass).

The Bassmaster Olympic 2010 was held for day one at Lay Lake in Albama.   This year, 2010 the winner of day one Bassmaster Olympics has been Kevin VanDam from Kalamazoo. VanDam has got the award prize of whooping $ 500,000(good, man!)   The last year, 2009’s winner was Skeet Reese from California.   VanDam was lucky enough to get 51 pounds, 6 ounces of Lay Lake bass. When asked what made his success to be possible, Kevin revealed that he was thankful to his fans who were always very courteous to him and inspired him to win. VanDam also disclosed that the win was difficult also because of the weather
but his love of fishing in lake made him to come at the first spot.   Kevin also said that he was hopeful of catching 13-15 pounds but said that he was lucky enough to get hold of such a big catch. VanDam said that warm waters helped him to make that significant catch.
