JAB WE MET is the story of two going to be married couples who are betrayed in one way or other.  Industrialist Shahid Kapoor (Aditya) feels betrayed as her girl friend is getting married to some one else. One the other side Kareena Kapoor (Geeta) leaves her home to marry her boyfriend.

After limited success of Sahid Kapoor and Karieena Kapoor in Fida, 36 China Town and Chup Chup Ke (each of them starring Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor, Sahid Kapoor and Karieena Kapoor are again in Jab We Met . however this seems turns out to be the “last we met� for both Sahid Kapoor and Karieena Kapoor and both have split now and Kareena Kapoor dating Saif Ali Khan. Some people are of the view that the split between Sahid Kapoor and Karieena Kapoor is a publicity stunt to woo people to the film at the box office. This is the first film of Sahid Kapoor in Portugal.

The idea of having English-Hindi name as Jab We Met was outcome of a brain storming session between Sahid Kapoor and his father Pankaj Kapoor.

It is the story of two going to be married couples who are betrayed in one way or other.  Industrialist Shahid Kapoor (Aditya) feels betrayed as her girl friend is getting married to some one else. One the other side Kareena Kapoor (Geeta) leaves her home to marry her boyfriend. However incidenctly both Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor meet on the train. They have no money but have lot of fun. Ultimately they manage to go Kareena Kapoor’s home in Bhatinda (a small city in Punjab). Their parents take Sahid Kapoor as lover of Kareena Kapoor. But she lefts for Manali (a hill station in Himachal Pradesh) but when Kareena Kapoor meets her boy friends, he doesn’t accept her. Here she realizes that her true love is Sahid Kapoor.
