3. If diagnoses as suffering from hypertension, you should get your blood pressure measured regularly. Either you can visit a doctor daily for measuring your blood pressure or keep a blood pressure instrument at home so that you can keep a track of your blood pressure.
4. Apart from taking regular hypertensive medicines as prescribed by doctor for hypertension called as antihypertensive medicines known by the brand name acetazolamide, torsemide etc., and one should take dietary precautions as well. Avoid excessive intake of salt in the diet at any cost. Restrict yourself to green vegetables and healthy foods such as fruits, whole grains, cereals rather than enjoying the fried and junk food.
5. For living a healthy life free from hypertension you should quit smoking and intake of alcohol at all. Say no to smoking if you have to control your high blood pressure.
6. Adopting a healthy lifestyle and controlling your weight is putting a step towards keeping control of hypertension.
