Gummadi Venkateswara Rao passed away at the age of 83

Telugu actor Gummadi Venkateswara Rao passed away last nite in CARE Hospital in Hyderabad at the age of 83 years. Gummadi Venkateswara Rao was admitted to Care Hospital on Sunday after he fell seriously ill from chest pain.

Gummadi Venkateswara Rao was born in Ravikampadu in Tenali of Andhra Pradesh on July 9, 1927. The actor has worked in around 500 Telugu films in a acting period of around 60 years. Gummadi Venkateswara Rao's last movie was Dharma chakram, a Telugu movie in 1995.

For his contribution to Telugu movies, Gummadi Venkateswara Rao was honored with Raghupathi Venkaiah Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

this acting career in Telugu cinema with Adrushta Deepudu in 1950.
